In this role you will partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Research + Insights, and Data Scientists to craft intuitive and delightful experiences that grow and enhance the user experience. You will combine deep user empathy with a balance of UX, UI, prototyping, and visual design skills to enable frictionless experiences, and collaborate with a strong team of designers doing the same.

As a Senior Product Designer, you'll be involved with the full end-to-end product development process, from brainstorming to launch. You'll use a balance of strategic thinking, product principles, systems design, and strong visual design skills to iterate and innovate on the company product. If you're interested in joining a passionate team of individuals who are designing features that will be used by millions of people across the world, come join us.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You will embed within a product squad and partner with engineers, product managers, researchers, and data scientists to oversee the user experience of a product from concept to test to launch — and then continue to iterate and improve it after release
  • You will understand company and team goals, and drive concepts and decisions in service of reaching those goals and milestones
  • You will deliver comprehensive design presentations to both immediate team members and senior leadership, building consensus and driving alignment around your work. This involves articulating complex design rationales and defending your decisions based on user research, market trends, and technical constraints.
  • You will create high-fidelity wireframes, pixel-perfect mockups, and interactive prototypes; and help implement your designs to pixel perfection.
  • You leverage the iterative design process, including A/B testing and user feedback analysis, to continuously refine and optimize your designs. This involves close collaboration with our Data Scientists to interpret quantitative metrics, and our User Researchers for qualitative user insights.
  • You will actively contribute to and help maintain our comprehensive Design System, ensuring cohesive user experiences across all company products and features.
  • As a senior member of the Design team, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of design excellence, mentoring junior designers, and driving innovation in our design processes and methodologies.

What you should have

  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing and shipping a web/app product for a variety of devices and platforms.
  • Design lead for a squad, feature, initiative, or end-to-end project and are comfortable making design decisions, leading discussion, and communicating out to the wider organization
  • Proven track record of leading design initiatives for large-scale features or products, demonstrating the ability to make high-level design decisions, facilitate cross-functional discussions, and effectively communicate design strategies to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional collaborative skills, with a history of providing constructive feedback in design critiques, sharing knowledge, supporting and empowering your design teammates, sharing in-depth design knowledge, and mentoring junior team members to elevate the overall quality of design output
  • Strong product thinking and strategic vision, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive user experiences. Adept at articulating the rationale behind design decisions and their alignment with broader product goals.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and measure the impact of design changes on key metrics.
  • Mastery of design craft, including typography, color theory, layout principles, and interaction design. Committed to pixel-perfect execution and have a keen eye for subtle details that enhance user experience.
  • You have expert-level experience with Figma
